Dr. Lisa Wade originally grew up just outside of Shanksville, PA (a tiny town in western Pennsylvania) before heading off to Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA for her undergraduate degree in biology & veterinary technology. After working for a few years as a certified veterinary technician in State College, PA, she then attended veterinary school at the Ohio State University. Dr. Wade has been working at Shiloh Veterinary Hospital since 2004 and has been a partner at the practice since 2008. She decided to buy in to the practice because, “after working at SVH for a year, I knew that this was the kind of clinic where I wanted to spend my entire career.”
Dr. Wade and her husband Ted have a son named Alex, 2 rescue dogs (an Aussie mix named Rusty, and a Cocker Spaniel named Lady), 1 rescue cat (Chester), 2 guinea pigs (Clover & Daisy) and “too many” hermit crabs and fish! In her free time, Lisa enjoys participating in a medieval historical re-creation group, horseback riding, gardening, hiking with her family, and reading.
