Dena L Owings, D.V.M., C.C.R.P.

Originally from Westchester, MD, Dr. Dena Owings grew up wanting to become a veterinarian, a chef, or a farmer. She received a BS from the University of Maryland College Park followed by a DVM from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech). She has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2002, and she joined Shiloh Veterinary Hospital in August 2006.

Dr. Owings has a special interest in veterinary rehabilitation and is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP). She enjoys bonding with clients and being part of the special relationship between people and their pets.

She and her wife Amber share their home with Penny the Pug and kitties Phoebe Buffay, Hazelnut, and Jackson Galaxy. In her free time, Dr. Owings enjoys traveling, lying on the beach, watching reality TV and documentaries, working out, and trying delicious new foods.
